Launch details for .dev

During the Chrome Dev Summit keynote today, we announced .dev, a secure domain for developers and technology. It will become available to everyone for registration in 2019. Here are the important dates to be aware of:

January 16, 2019 - February 19, 2019
Sunrise period where trademark holders who have submitted their trademark to the Trademark Clearinghouse can register .dev domains.

February 19, 2019 - February 28, 2019
Early Access period where anyone can register available .dev domains for an extra fee, which decreases leading up to General Availability.

February 28, 2019 onwards
General Availability where anyone can register available .dev domains.

Please note that a claims period will run indefinitely, during which trademark owners will receive notification when their marks are registered as domains. Visit get.dev for more details.
